VCT Pacific Stage 2 Anthem superHuman Drops 7 August With Audrey Nuna

The VCT Pacific Stage 2 anthem, superHuman, releases globally across major streaming platforms on Friday 7 August, with Korean-American artist Audrey Nuna fronting a track produced by Cirkut. A music video premieres the same day on the VCT Pacific YouTube channel.

Riot Games confirmed the collaboration on Wednesday 5 August, two days out from release. superHuman is Nuna’s second VALORANT project and her first solo release since TRENCH in 2024.

Inside superHuman and the Cirkut Collaboration

Cirkut, whose production credits include Rihanna, Lady Gaga and The Weeknd, built the track with Nuna. Riot describes superHuman as a progressive rap anthem fuelled by fearless confidence and futuristic swagger, pairing razor-sharp verses with an ethereal melodic bridge. The song opens on a defiant challenge to the world to throw whatever it has, then moves from bold declarations of style into imagery drawn from the natural world.

Nuna called the song “a portal”, written during a stretch when her life was changing quickly and she felt more perceived by the world than she ever had before. She framed it around redemption, validation and the tides finally turning, and said she wanted to remind herself and others to stay open and flow like water through change, treating being human as a superpower rather than a limit. Riot has positioned the track around themes of strength, versatility and fearless self-expression.

Nuna’s Second VALORANT Track After TOXIC

TOXIC arrived in January and opened the 2026 VALORANT season, a darker reimagining of the Britney Spears single that Nuna produced with King Mala. superHuman shifts her from reworking an existing pop record to an original anthem written for a single league and a single stage of its calendar.

From KPop Demon Hunters to the 68th GRAMMY Awards

Nuna started out as a singer-songwriter in 2018 and broke through as the singing voice of Mira in Netflix’s 2025 animated film KPop Demon Hunters. Alongside EJAE and REI AMI, she performed as the fictional group HUNTR/X on Golden, which spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, topped charts worldwide and picked up multi-platinum certifications in several countries.

At the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards, Golden won Best Song Written for Visual Media, the first GRAMMY win credited to K-pop. The track also drew nominations for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Riot’s own announcement bills Nuna as GRAMMY-nominated. superHuman is her first solo release since that run.

With TOXIC opening the season in January and superHuman landing for Stage 2, Riot now has two Nuna tracks on the VCT Pacific calendar inside seven months.

How superHuman Lands in the Stage 2 Run-In

The release date is not incidental. VCT Pacific Stage 2 is in the closing stretch of its group stage, with the final matches running on Friday 7 August and across the weekend, and this week’s results deciding which four teams advance to the playoffs. The anthem and its music video arrive on the same day those matches begin, giving the track its first airing over the weekend that sets the bracket. Fans can watch on SOOP, Chzzk and YouTube.

Stage 2 runs from 16 July to 6 September and is based in Seoul, where the group stage has played out. The Finals weekend then moves to Busan, the first time VCT Pacific has taken it there.
