VALORANT Mobile Blades of the Guardians Collab Launches 23 July in China<

VALORANT Mobile gets its first crossover with an outside franchise on 23 July, when a themed event built around the Chinese donghua series Blades of the Guardians goes live in-game. Riot Games released the official trailer on 20 July, two days before the event window opens, and the collaboration runs as a China-exclusive release.
The bundle covers cosmetic and profile items rather than weapon skins. Playercards, a spray, a title, an avatar and an avatar border make up the confirmed contents, first surfaced by VALORANT Leaks & News ahead of the trailer drop.

What the Blades of the Guardians Bundle Includes
The confirmed item list runs to five pieces, all tied to player profile presentation:
- Playercards
- Spray
- Title
- Avatar
- Avatar Border
No weapon skins have been named in the collaboration, and Riot has not published pricing for the set. The developers have said full details on the in-game content are still to come, which leaves the bundle cost and the event end date open as of 22 July.
Why the Collab Is Mobile-Only and China-Only
Blades of the Guardians is a Chinese historical action series with its core audience in China, and China is currently the only region where VALORANT Mobile has launched. Restricting the crossover to that market puts the franchise in front of the audience most likely to recognise it, and gives Riot a route to pull donghua viewers into a shooter that has no presence elsewhere on mobile yet.
VALORANT’s First Crossover Outside Arcane
Every prior VALORANT collaboration has drawn on Riot’s own properties, with the Arcane tie-in the closest precedent. Blades of the Guardians is the first time an external franchise has entered the game, which makes the mobile-only, region-locked framing a low-exposure way to run the experiment. If the reception in China holds up, the same structure gives Riot a template to widen the scope; if it does not, the fallout stays contained to a single market on a single platform.
What Happens Next
The event goes live on 23 July, with Riot yet to confirm how long it runs or what the bundle costs. Full content details are due from the developers, and no public update has been issued since the trailer landed on 20 July.
