A World Redefined by G-DRAGON
According to KRAFTON, the partnership won’t just be a skin drop. Players can expect trailers, in-game content, and special events tied to the collaboration. On top of that, a special offline celebration will take place in Seongsu, Seoul, with more global fan events set to follow.
It’s also worth pointing out that this is G-DRAGON’s first time stepping into the gaming world. Known off-stage as Kwon Ji-yong, he debuted in 2006 as the leader of BIGBANG, one of the groups that helped shape K-pop’s global rise. With his influence stretching far beyond music, his arrival in PUBG is likely to make waves across both fanbases.
PUBG’s Growing List of K-pop Collabs
This isn’t the first time PUBG has tapped into the K-pop scene. Recently, the game teamed up with aespa and virtual boy band PLAVE during the PUBG Nations Cup, where aespa even performed live at the grand final. Past collabs also included BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER, although those were more focused on in-game content rather than esports.
aespa is dropping in with a big flash and they are coming to take center stage. Who better to rule the virtual badlands?
Get ready to dive in with aespa.

Looking at the bigger picture, K-pop and gaming have been blending more than ever. Riot Games, for example, has worked with groups like New Jeans (NJZ) for the League of Legends Worlds anthem and even created their own virtual K-pop group K/DA. Earlier this year, LoL legend Faker made a surprise cameo in Stray Kids’ latest music video, showing just how blurred the line between esports and music has become. We’ve also seen collaborations with members of KISS OF LIFE for the VCT anthem, continuing the trend of gaming and K-pop moving closer together.
What to Expect
While PUBG has made esports-focused collabs in the past, this one seems aimed squarely at everyday players and fans of both music and gaming. With new content rolling out across all platforms and live events planned, it looks like PUBG is lining up a crossover that will get plenty of attention.
Whether you’re a long-time PUBG fan or just here for G-DRAGON, September is shaping up to be an exciting month.
