Deryeon Joins Wolves Esports, Completing VCT CN Stage 2 Roster

Wolves Esports have confirmed the signing of Derrick “Deryeon” Yee, completing their starting five ahead of VCT CN Stage 2. The Singaporean occupies the team’s lone import slot and rounds off a roster the Chinese org has rebuilt almost entirely during the midseason break.

Deryeon’s arrival, announced on 6 July 2026, closes out a revamp that has cleared out both the playing roster and the coaching booth ahead of a Stage 2 run that begins on 9 July.

Deryeon Returns To Tier 1 After Motiv Esports Title Run

Deryeon is well-travelled across Asian Valorant. He began his career with teams like XIAO and Louvre before his rise to prominence with BLEED Esports, which he joined in 2021. After returning to the roster following an overhaul, he won the 2023 Pacific Ascension with the squad, playing alongside SEA names Kelvin “sScary” Ong, Wang “crazyguy” Ping-Yu, Jason “Juicy” Susanto, and Nutchaphon “nephh” Matarat.

He was one of three players BLEED retained after ascending, as the org brought in Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker and Ilya “Egoist” Katsapov, but the team’s VCT stint was short-lived, managing just one win across the entire 2024 season. After BLEED was removed from VCT Pacific over a failure to comply with reporting requirements and other obligations under the Team Participation Agreement, Deryeon joined Disguised to close out 2024 before the team disbanded.

He signed with Global Esports for 2025 but appeared in only five VCT matches. At the start of the 2026 season he dropped to Tier 2 with Singaporean side Motiv Esports, where he helped win Challengers SEA Split 1 2026, beating Sharper Esports 3-1 in the Grand Final and taking Finals MVP. Motiv then finished 5th-6th in the Split 2 RoSEA Qualifiers, losing to XLB (BLG Academy), after which Deryeon was free to explore his options.

Wolves Esports Rebuild Their Roster And Coaching Staff

Wolves have been in all-out rebuild mode over the midseason break after a drastic drop in form. The team most recently finished 11th-12th in VCT CN and have not qualified for a global event since their Top 3 Cinderella run at Masters Toronto.

The overhaul started in the coaching booth. Head coach Fayde, coach Maark, and analyst Ominous were replaced by former Nova Esports head coach Alexander “alexRr” Frisch. On the playing side, jowa and in-game leader SiuFatBB were allowed to explore their options, with SiuFatBB since signing for TYLOO.

Zhong “aluba” Haojun returned to the squad last week after almost two years away, first having played for Wolves in 2024. Alongside Deryeon, he joins holdovers yosemite, glacier, and Spring, while academy product Xie “nothing” Junzheng takes the sixth-man role. Liu “Spring” Chun-ting is the only player remaining from the original Toronto roster.

VCT CN Stage 2 Schedule And Champions Qualification

VCT CN Stage 2 runs from 9 July to 23 August 2026 in Changsha, China, with the playoffs moving to Chengdu as the final leg of the VCT CN 2026 roadshow. The top four teams from Stage 2 will secure spots at Champions, which takes place on home soil in Shanghai this year.
