MOUZ Win BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2, Beating Spirit 3-1 in Malta

MOUZ ended a 17-month trophy drought on 2 August, taking down Spirit 3-1 in the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 grand final in Malta. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi topped the scoreboard on all four maps and walked away with the HLTV x 1XBET MVP award, the first of his career.

It is MOUZ’s first silverware since PGL Cluj-Napoca 17 months ago and their first of 2026, landing at the first S-tier Counter-Strike 2 event since IEM Cologne Major 2026. The Hamburg-based organisation leave Malta with $226,563 in prize money and a further $40,000 in club share.

Spirit went into the best-of-five as heavy favourites and opened on their own pick. They took one map.

Dust2 And Mirage Put MOUZ 2-0 Ahead

Spirit’s Dust2 pick came apart almost immediately. MOUZ built a 7-5 lead on the CT side and closed the map 13-8, with Spinx putting up a 23-8 statline for a 1.91 rating. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets found a tidy 1v3, and very little else.

Mirage was worse. MOUZ’s own pick turned into a near-complete T-side showing that held Spirit to four rounds in the first half on the way to 13-4. Spinx added another 20 kills and a 1.86 rating, while donk stayed missing for a second map running. It was the fifth map in a row the 19-year-old had finished with a negative K/D, the first run of its kind in his career according to HLTV‘s in-match tracking. Dropping the first two maps by five and nine rounds left Spirit needing a reverse sweep with their highest-rated player yet to post a positive map.

Spirit Take Ancient As donk Finds Form

Ancient arrived carrying a seven-map winning streak for Spirit, and the run survived. donk came alive with 21 kills as his side climbed out of a 6-9 hole to take the map 13-9 and force a decider. Spinx’s 1.16 was his quietest map of the series, and he still finished top of the server.

It was the only stretch of the final where donk drove the map rather than trailing it, and Spirit’s only stretch where MOUZ had no answer.

Nuke Seals The 3-1 For MOUZ

MOUZ moved 6-4 up on the attack before the sides traded to a 7-5 half, capped by a Five-SeveN triple from Boris “magixx” Vorobiev that flipped a 3v5 in the final round of the half. donk’s frustration had already gone public by that point, the Spirit star putting fist to desk during the first half.

Spirit levelled at 7-7 after the switch and the map locked up, Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov taking a 1v1 to tie it at 10-10 after 20 rounds. MOUZ then found their grip on defence, reaching map point off a Spinx quad-kill against pistols and closing it out the following round against a low buy. sh1ro’s 20-15 was his sharpest map of the final and it still was not enough.

Dorian “xertioN” Berman put the result in the bluntest terms available on the official broadcast afterwards. “Nobody beats MOUZ eight times in a row,” he joked, relishing the end of a Spirit run that had gone unbroken against his team until Malta.

MOUZ’s Roster Restructure Ends A 17-Month Wait

The title run follows a stretch of roster surgery. MOUZ had already handed the in-game leader role to xertioN before IEM Cologne Major 2026, where the team underperformed, and the Malta win is the first return on that call.

Malta was also Oldřich “PR” Nový’s first event with the main roster, a return to the organisation after his time in MOUZ NXT. He finished the grand final with 57 kills, one behind donk’s 58, without a highlight-reel moment attached to any of them, which is the shape of a fifth player slotting into a system rather than dragging one. The trophy is a first at tier one for both PR and xelex.

Team Vitality controlled the opening months of 2026, and MOUZ have now put the first S-tier event after the Cologne Major on their own board.

Spinx Takes His Career-First HLTV MVP

Spinx finished the grand final with 78 kills across four maps, 15 more than any other player on the server, three Player of the Map awards, and a 1.54 series rating. He also led the final in round swing at +4.97%, ADR at 89.3, and KAST at 81.9%.

The medal came down to the final. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás had led the way against 3DMAX and Astralis and finished the event level with Spinx on almost every measure, separated by 0.02 on LAN rating (1.22 to 1.20) and 0.02 in map wins (1.29 to 1.27). torzsi ended the grand final on 1.05, and the award went to the player who contributed deeper into the tournament.

The gap it closes is the striking part. Spinx is a four-time Top 20 player and a 17-time EVP who had never won an HLTV MVP, first as a teammate to Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, then as one part of the collective effort that won MOUZ PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. His 2026 gave no warning either, with no EVPs since IEM Krakow and a 1.01 rating across the final three months of the season.

From 2026 onwards, online matches no longer count towards MVPs or EVPs, so whatever Spinx adds to that record over the rest of the year has to come on LAN.
