Harbor’s Full Rework Arrives
A More Aggressive Controller With Initiator Flair
Riot has completely redesigned Harbor to make him a more viable Controller and a stronger pick in competitive play. While he still specialises in map control and utility, Patch 11.10 gives him new tools to take fights aggressively and support coordinated pushes.
High Tide
High Tide stays mechanically the same, letting players keep their existing mastery of wall placement. However, it’s no longer a signature ability and must now be purchased for 300 credits.
Cove
Cove has moved to Harbor’s new signature slot and now works more like Omen’s smokes. Players can hold fire to push the placement marker further, hold alt fire to pull it closer, and even toggle targeting view.
Cove can still be activated to create a bullet-blocking shield, which enemies can destroy, but now its placement is far more precise and flexible.
Storm Surge
Replacing Cascade, Storm Surge is Harbor’s brand-new ability. When thrown, it forms an explosive whirlpool that nearsights and slows enemies after a short delay. It is designed to help Harbor force duels, disrupt defenders, and create space during site hits.
Reckoning
Harbor’s ultimate has also been reshaped. Instead of forming a circle, Reckoning now surges forward in a wave that nearsights and slows anyone caught in its path. This makes it much easier to use during coordinated pushes and significantly boosts Harbor’s value in team executes.
Updated Voice Lines
Harbor receives new voice lines for his reworked kit, including additional conversations with Tejo and Waylay, plus new intro lines on Abyss and Corrode.
Community Reactions
Early Impressions Are Strongly Positive
The VALORANT community has responded well to the rework, praising Harbor’s improved aggression and flexibility.
Former 100 Thieves coach Yury “frenya” Elkin called the update “very interesting and great,” noting that with two nearsight abilities, Harbor now fits into far more compositions.
Players on social media also highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of the rework, with some already predicting a resurgence of Harbor and Viper combo lineups in pro play.
Other Agent Balance Changes
Clove Nerfs and Omen Spectator Improvements
Patch 11.10 includes several key agent updates outside of Harbor:
Clove
Clove has been dominating competitive queue, so Riot has toned down their snowball potential.
- Ruse now only has one charge if Clove is dead
- Pick Me Up’s overheal reduced from 100 to 50 HP
Omen
Spectators can now see Omen’s perspective inside Dark Cover while he places smokes, improving visibility during broadcasted matches.
Team HUD and Collections UI Improvements
Healing Visibility Added to the Team HUD
The Team HUD now turns teal and fills during healing, making it easier to track recovery progress for yourself and your teammates.
Collections UI Overhaul
PC players get several quality-of-life upgrades:
- A grid layout replaces the old carousel for Weapons and Buddies
- A new page for titles
- Expanded custom skinline backgrounds
Korea will receive these changes a little later due to player flow adjustments.
Pick’Ems Arrive for Game Changers
Starting 13 November, VALORANT players can participate in Pick’Ems for the Game Changers Championship. Fans can predict the full ten-team double elimination bracket and earn exclusive rewards through both the in-client and web versions.
Console Features and Quality-of-Life Updates
Replays Go Live on Console
Console players finally get access to Replays, letting them review gameplay just like on PC.
The console Lobby and navigation pages have also been updated, and queue timers now display in the top left corner of the main menu.
Bug Fixes and Known Issues
Patch 11.10 includes fixes for dozens of agent bugs, HUD issues, ability inconsistencies, spike placement exploits, and various console problems. While many long-standing issues have been patched, some known bugs remain, including queue timer resets and custom lobby visibility problems.
Premier Updates for PC
PC players in Premier can now right-click on teams or friends to view their roster, zone, division, and current score directly from standings and social menus.
A Massive Patch With Major Gameplay Impact
Patch 11.10 is one of the most significant updates of 2025, giving Harbor a much-needed makeover while improving the user experience across PC and console. With new mechanics, UI upgrades, and competitive enhancements, players will certainly feel the difference the moment they jump into a match.
Whether you’re ready to test Harbor’s new toolkit or simply explore the updated HUD and Collection layouts, VALORANT’s latest patch delivers plenty to dive into.
