It’s AI that’s within your reach for the everyday creative, with a futuristic fluid design, groundbreaking energy efficiency and an affordable price tag.
OPPO has announced the latest additions to its popular Reno series, launching two new AI Phones, the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro.
It’s the first major release after OPPO’s pledge to bring AI Phones to a broader audience, outlined earlier this year and supported by other partners including Google and Microsoft.
“Currently, the small number of existing AI phones are targeted at the upper end of the market with a hefty price tag to match,” says OPPO NZ Country Manager Morgan Halim.
“OPPO is a challenger brand in the market that seeks to bring advanced AI capabilities to many more people, empowering them with our exceptional products at competitive pricing.”
Designed to unlock new realms of productivity and creativity for everyday users, both the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro feature the series’ longest battery life and fastest charging yet, most robust hardware and best power efficiency, and also introduce a suite of inspiring GenAI features to explore.
These include the AI Portrait Expert with a host of updated photo enhancements; AI Toolbox with powerful recognition capabilities for quick social media content creation or summaries for lengthy articles; and a new AI Recording Summary tool to intelligently extract and organise text summaries from a voice record.
This is a phone that will appeal to creative enthusiasts, whether they’re using it for photography, content creation, gaming or social media sharing.
The Main Camera is equipped with a Sony LYT-600 sensor offering faster and more stable focusing for clearer shots. Both models also feature a Portrait Mode with up to 2x zoom, and a 50MP Telephoto Portrait Camera offering up to 2x optical zoom, plus a new 50MP Selfie Camera.
In New Zealand, the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro are each available in two aesthetically-pleasing designs: Astro Silver fluid ripple and the more classic Black Brown for the Reno12, and the Reno12 Pro comes in rippling Nebula Silver or streamlined Nebula Black.
The Reno12 and Reno12 Pro have the longest battery life and fastest charging of a Reno Series phone, charging from 1% to 32% in ten minutes, and only 46 minutes needed for a full 100% charge.
Structurally, it’s also the Reno series’ most robust device yet with a high-strength alloy framework that offers enhanced protection against drops, pressure, and water, and ultra-tough glass on the screen.
Arguably one of the most remarkable aspects of the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro is that they combine all the features above at extremely competitive price points.
Users can be sure they’re getting unparallelled value for what this device offers in return, further empowering them to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
OPPO Reno12 and OPPO Reno12Pro will release in July 2024.
