LG Electronics (LG) and Microsoft have entered an exclusive marketing partnership to highlight the premium gaming experience of the highly-anticipated Xbox Series X console and LG OLED TV range.
The partnership is in key markets across Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific, which includes Australia.
Consumers will have the opportunity to experience for themselves the sheer exhilaration of gaming on the LG 2020 OLED TV models and the Xbox Series X console.
“At LG Electronics Australia, we’re excited to be working with Microsoft to deliver the ultimate gaming experience to Australian consumers during the coming months,” said Tony Brown, Marketing Manager for Home Entertainment at LG Electronics Australia.
To celebrate the partnership in Australia, LG Electronics Australia will be running a local competition via social media to reward gamers with the next-generation gaming set up, comprised of an LG 48-inch CX OLED TV and an Xbox Series X console.
“In Australia, we have seen exceptional demand for our LG OLED TV range. We believe the combination of self-lit pixel technology and the ability to show 4K games at 120 frames per second make LG OLED TVs the perfect choice for Australian gamers looking to experience the new Xbox Series X,” added Brown.
The combination of the advanced LG OLED TV technology and Xbox’s most powerful console will enable both gamers to enjoy next-generation gaming today. Games will not only look and sound incredible but will be more responsive thanks to features such as an ultra-fast 1ms response time with low input lag and support for the latest HDMI specifications including Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and enhanced return audio channel (eARC). HDMI 2.1 ports built-in mean LG OLED TVs are capable of supporting these features whether users are console or PC gamers.
With self-lit pixel technology, LG OLED TVs boast advanced picture quality with vibrant, natural colours and infinite contrast, delivering a wide color gamut and HDR performance. As the first TV and the first gaming console designed to support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, LG OLED TV and Xbox Series X will draw gamers deep into the action with dynamic images and sounds.
To help combat eye fatigue from gaming, 2020 LG TV models which feature OLED panels that are Eye Comfort Display certified by TÜV Rheinland, as meeting the criteria set by the leading eye comfort certification provider. The certification indicates that the TVs are flicker-free and emit low blue light.
For even more eye comfort assurance, LG OLED TVs are also verified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
